Great illusionists know it is the mystery of the illusion that keeps people coming back. Once they know how it is done they no longer are interested. Like a great illusionist, Jesus never gives away everything at once about Himself. Instead, he says, “come and see”. Our assumptions and conclusions about Jesus distract us from all the possibilities of following Jesus.
